Radfahren in den Dolomiten - Gröden

No other mountains in the Alps offer such breathtaking views like the ones seen from the Dolomites. It is not only a unique natural spectacle for mountain-bike riders, but also on offer are welcoming mountain huts and excellent local cuisine.

The Dolomites' passes have always been the biggest challenge for cyclists. And it is for precisely this reason they offer the most spectacular highlights.

To face the challenge with your mountain-bike is also extremely rewarding. No matter the level, there is always a suitable path for you! Bikes can be rented from different rental shops across the valley.

There are 30 well planned mountain-bike routes, carefully signposted and of different degrees of difficulty.
1000 km long tour in one of the world's most beautiful mountain landscapes is there for you! The ‘bike region’ Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi presents a series of carefully thought out routes for every taste. What makes the bike region Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi stand out is its particular altitude. The 30 routes range from heights between 700 and 2450 metres. Surrounded by the Dolomites peaks of Sassolungo and Sassopiatto, Alpe di Siusi stands proud, one of the most beautiful high mountain pastures in Europe. The routes stretch out along forest and meadow paths.

You can reach Alpe di Siusi from Ortisei easily by taking the lift “Mont Sëuc” or also by taking the route through the forest paths. On the opposite side of the valley lie the Rasciesa and Seceda areas. A relatively difficult landscape tour will lead you below the Odle Peaks through to the UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site of Puez-Odle Nature Park. A highlight you can't miss is the “Sellaronda”. A challenging part of the track for expert mountainbikers can be executed either clockwise or anticlockwise. This pleasure tour stretches for the great part on single tracks and on gravel roads and can be cycled on quite easily with the help of some cablecars, which will allow you to cycle round Sella without a hitch!

To get an insight into the diversity and singularity of the Bike Paradise Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi has been launched a new project and new homepage www.mtb-dolomites.com in a common project.

All participants get a high quality IVV MTB walking map.
